Sleep Seizures

I've finally stopped going to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, and so I've discovered that my roommate snores. And she seems to have some kinds of seizures at night. Seriously. I was kindof worried at first. I was like, "Cami? Cami are you awake?" She is still alive every morning I wake up though, so I guess it's just part of her restless stage in sleep. My body's adjusted to getting up early again--as in... earlier than usual... (7:00)...

Jeez. Between my Dad and Hannah I'm not sure I really want to go to Costa Rica now! Not to mention Rachel Glassford telling me about these flies that lay their eggs in mosquitoes, then the mosquitoes get the eggs under your skin so it swells up with a larva growing inside! They only live in WARM HUMID PLACES. Yeah. But they don't hurt you. You just go to the doctor and put something on your skin so they have to come out. Gross, but it's not like it causes you any real harm. Maybe I'll stay home and skip the rainforest and volcano and larva and cockroaches and mold experiences.....

This is why you should just take a nap instead of trying to write things when you're falling asleep: "So they stop deforming the church and just be a virgin." Yeah. Honestly. I was trying to answer a religion question and I think I fell asleep by the time I got to "church" and I don't know WHERE the rest of the sentence came from, but it might have had to do with something I had been reading earlier or someone was talking about...

Jane Austen Yule Ball

Me, Jazmin, Alisha, and Cami went to the Jane Austen Yule Ball. Of course there were mostly couples there and of course we didn't have dates, so Alisha was my girl and I was the "fellow." It was rather uneventful. There were Danish cookies. Yum... and water... I ran into Nissa too...

Palminotas de Maiz (Pigeons of Corn):

In my Spanish class we say the Spanish version of Popcorn popping. My teacher explained to us that "Palminotas" means "little doves" so they call popcorn: "little doves of corn." One of the kids in my Spanish class, Paul, pretended to load a gun and shoot and um... annihilate one of those cute little pigeons.
