::Cindered Ella::

2 Kings 6:16-17 “And he answered, Fear not: fore they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

Dream #13—Cindered Ella: I think I'll story-ize this dream, because it was pretty vivid, so it will be mostly accurate to what happened. I have this weird thing in dreams where I start to watch movies and the movies become the dream (which was the case for this one). Is that weird? I don't know, probably for most people, but for someone who writes stories I think it kinda makes sense.

Cinderella runs out of the ballroom in an upset and Charming follows. They are cartoon-style, and black and white for the beginning part of the dream, except their faces are in color. Charming chases Cindy saying,

“Wait, don't leave! I don't even know your name! I'm not so repulsive that you have to run, am I?” Cinderella stops when he has nearly caught up and looks shy and awkward. (Wouldn't you after being caught by someone you were trying to run away from?)

I think about this part of the dream other colors started kicking in, like I remember Cinderella's dress was blue and yellow striped (definitely not the prettiest Cinderella dress, nor the prettiest Cinderella I've ever seen).

“I know being a prince has it's downsides, but it's not so bad,” he pulls out a gargantuan gem from a small bag (I like to call this the “Mary Poppins Effect”). Cinderella's eyes turn into red swirls and she raises her hand to her mouth like she's going to vomit (keep in mind this was a cartoon—so that makes swirly eyes less weird...) and she runs again.

The gem is so big that while the prince is still holding it up, it blocks his view of her and he does not notice, and keeps talking, “There are some advantages as well, like sparkling gems I can give you and ice cream in the summer and...” he notices that she's run. “Wait, baby!” he cries and runs after her again.

Dream #13 Analysis: I don't know why the Cinderella story never dies. No matter how many versions there are, they keep coming out. And... this one in my dream managed to be different as well. I think I can attribute the weird style of it to watching Tim Burton movies occasionally because really... the dream reminded me of something that fellow would come out with.

Excuse me while I look into my soul for deeper meanings...

….Uh....

From the way the dream went, it does not seem that I want to be a Cinderella...

…Um..... I could never be a Freudian Psychologist, this is the truth... Oh, wait! I know! This dream reveals my subconscious issue with men. I run away from them. Which... is actually probably hitting on something... cuz... I think I'm kindof sexist against men. I've been trying to get over it, but... It's just... the small amount of guys I have gotten to know were so rude and disrespectful... and, well... stupid. I'm not a man-hater, I think some guys are spectacular, and lots better than me too, but I guess some of the effects of bitterness still eke through sometimes...
