::Magic Kisses::

I owe whoever might possibly read this blog some posts.  So--I promise in place of my too-long-deleted post I'm going to do a comic piece from my last date...  And some from work coming soon.

::Merlin::

My friend Cami introduced me to a British t.v. series, "Merlin."  I've watched it with my friends enough that I've seen the first season and half of the second.  I hadn't watched it for a while, but I started an episode at work, and went to finish watching it with Brittany.

You know how they like to have a lot of mini romances that end in t.v. series?  Although there is a lack of mini ne'er-end-well-romances in "Merlin" compared to most t.v. shows, it has it's share, and Arthur (who is a young man about the same age as Merlin) is usually the victim.

Arthur has a love spell put on him, and he's so absurdly "in love" that he isn't even worried about being killed for his love (a snotty princess) or starting a war.  They find out that to break the spell, he has to get a kiss from his true love.  When Gwen kisses him--yay!  He's all better and smart again.

Me: "If only it worked that way..."

Brittany:  "Yeah... just kiss a boy and have him fall in love with you..."

Me:  "We're awful!"

Brittany:  "I know."

To clarify, Gwen and Arthur were technically already in love when she kissed him, but you know, that whole idea about a "true love" does make things sound a lot easier instead of actually using your brain to figure out who would be a good person to live with for the rest of your life...

You could just smooch 'em get married and be done...  Seems to be the way most people do it in this community anyways...
