Valentine's day was rather eventful. I went to the Goddess Durga's temple (one of the more popular goddesses) and talked with a priest about the Ramayana epic. Then that afternoon I went to Andrha University with Sarah, McKenna, and Sudha (she studied/still does her research there).
We got to see the dead animal museum... Yay... (But I was really happy we got to go for Sudha's sake. I also got to see her book that she's submitted for review. She researched brine shrimp. Her book is very impressive, I hope the review process goes well and they accept her work.)
I told Sarah we could think about happy things like cotton candy and Disneyland to distract ourselves from the dead animals.
Later that day Stefanie and I were walking back to the store and Sarah had a plastic bag with neon-pink fluff inside.
"Bekah! I thought of you when I saw this and I had to get it because it was so perfect! We were talking about this earlier today!"
So she let me finish her cotton candy which made her my favorite that day.
We then went to the mall and got pizza and told our worst dates stories and our first crush stories/best dates. It was fun. When we were leaving Sarah got some ice cream, and you're not supposed to eat while walking here so we sat down for her to finish it and this group of guys were hovering near by and then approached us.
"Hey, you see my friend in black?" the one who finally has enough courage to approach us, asks McKenna.
"Yeah."
"He wants to propose to you."
"Uh, yeah, that's not gonna work..."
Boy in black comes over. I wish I could remember what he says, but they just keep asking questions like, "Where do you live?" and "How long will you be here?"
"Uh, guys, we gotta go..."
So we start going, and one of the guys keep following. The first one I think.
"Where are you going? I can drop you off there."
"No, thanks."
"When can I see you again? I will follow you to America."
"Yeah, that's not gonna work."
We got a rickshaw and got home and did henna. YAY! I did it by myself, I tried to upload the picture, but you know, my camera's spastic so I'll show you later.
Love,
